About Larry Shapiro
Larry Shapiro is a 1967 graduate of Drake College with a B.A. in Business.  He has been engaged exclusively in the business of buying, selling and appraising antiques and personal property since 1972.  Larry avidly attends auctions and is constantly and keenly in touch with the marketplace.

He has taught at Manchester Community College and been asked to speak about antiques and appraisals on different occassions for various civic groups.

Larry has participated in numerous appraisal days and his appraisals have appeared in  national publications. In addition to being interviewed for television, he also appears frequently on the WDRC Mary Jones radio show.

if you own an antique piece of painted furniture you can blend acrylic artists paints to fill in small areas of paint loss. this is not recommended for use in resale unless you disclose your repair.
